The Museum's new site at 133 Cowper Street, Footscray, is now open. This site carries a small but well-chosen selection of the Museum's collection (less than 10%). It is open for limited hours/days. Visitation at other times is possible for visitors from interstate or overseas, by appointment.

OPENING TIMES

For General Public: details of days, times and prices are on our General Admission page.

Other programs, such as Access Studio, Graphic Students' Workshops and large-group visits, can be booked for non-open days.

Why did we move, and why is the collection still in jeopardy? Read this.

Public Transport from Melbourne City:

Either: Bus 220 travelling North in Queen Street to the Cowper Street stop, Footscray: travel time 12 min, walk 3 min. [Walk back 50 m to Cowper St, South about 200 m (on left, just over Parker St). Look for a GREEN warehouse.

or: Train from any city station to Footscray: travel time 8 min, walk 8 min. At Footscray station go to platform 4 exit (if not there already), walk South along Hyde St 400 m (cross Napier St near Police Station), to Parker St then East (left) along Parker St and right into Cowper St. No.133 is on your left (the second building). It is a GREEN warehouse.

Car Travel

The Museum is located in Cowper Street, about 200 m South of its intersection with Napier Street. Napier is the extension (after crossing the Maribyrnong River) of the better-known Footscray Road, a main artery from the city.

There is on-street parking around the Museum. Consider public transport.
